Groundbreaking Events
There’s something for everyone at the groundbreaking ceremony May 30th at 1:00 p.m. Join us at the new library site at the corner of Highway 150 and Churchill Road, bring your shovel, and help break ground for the new library building. Governor Jim Edgar will be guest speaker, and the Mahomet-Seymour Junior High School chorus will provide entertainment. Kids can dig in the sand box for treasures and enjoy free sno-cones prepared by the Mahomet Area Youth Club. After the ceremony, join us for cake served by Friends of the Library volunteers. We hope to see you all there!
